I have used different coffee grinders in the last 10 years and this is one of the best. It has one of the most powerful motor for such a small body. It is a bit noisy specially in the morning, however it's only a minor issue. Since I only use it to grind the coffee, there is no need to clean it everyday. I love it and in fact I'm very happy with my decision to buy two of them at the same time. I strongly recommend to everyone who wants to have a nice cup of fresh coffee in the morning. Had the exact same one for almost 20 years and was hoping I never had to replace it. Unfortunately we left it at the condo when we went on vacation so just decided to replace it. Luckily very little has changed - it works as great as my old one. The only Customer Review: Best first coffee grinder

I bought this model in 1983, and it has worked well. This morning it finally bit the dust. I use it almost daily, so you do the math. For the price, it can't be beat. I was delighted to see that I can replace it with the same model (thought only in black and white, not the chocolate brown I bought when I was a student). I probably shortened it's useful life because I find that it gives a better grind if I aggitate it a little when grinding. This gives a more even grind, and helps keep the beans from being ground too finely. I suspect shaking it during use resulted in subtle neurologic damage. It will be buried with full military honors.Customer Review: Grind dry spices for Indian food!

Very useful dry grinder that can be used to grind spices(cloves, cardamom, broken pieces of cinnamon, pepper, dried red chillies, roasted gram etc.) for Indian food!!!
