This knife works extremely well and can fit a modest budget. This is the third one I have bought because the other two went to members of my family--perhaps I can hold on to this one.

Certainly, proper technique makes a big difference, but with this quality electric knife, all you have to do is angle it in the correct spot on the roast and press down lightly--the rest is taken care of. The blades detach with the push of a button and can go right in the dishwasher. There's a hook for wall storage, and a suction cup that allows you to keep the cord safely out harm's way.
