I'm finally done looking for a toaster that really works as a toaster. My husband has done exhaustive work, researching the Internet for months to find a toaster that would work with our decor and actually turn a slice of bread into a piece of toast with some kind of reliability. We had bought a Kenmore toaster from Sears, and returned it a week later because it wouldn't pop up the toast after completing its toasting cycle. This Krups does that and a lot more. This toaster has a lot of bells and whistles that would make any Poly-Tec or MIT graduate proud. The blue-lit LCD display screen is easy to read and understand. The countdown feature is more helpful than we thought it would be. All the other product features are just an added bonus in a great looking package. One other great thing about this toaster is the length of its bread slots. It receives longer multi-grain slices with no mangling of the bread to get it in the toaster. So, to sum it up, we feel this toaster actually works as a toaster should, and is well worth any one to break open your piggy bank and get one for yourself.

The Krups 2 -slice toaster has 1100 watts of power designed to quickly brown the surface of the bread and retain the soft texture within. The brushed stainless steel front panel and full stainless steel housing provide high quality finish. The integrated warming tray is easy to clean, removable and dishwasher safe. It quickly warms breads, muffins, pastries, and other baked goods without drying them out. The LCD control panel displays special functions, offers 9 levels of browning to accommodate all toasting preferences and counts down to the seconds to the end of the cycle. The display is back lit in blue for high visibility. The 3- position metal control lever turns right to toast and left to raise the bread for easy one- handed removal. Bagel function toasts bagels from the cut side while warming the crust while the defrost function warms frozen bread through then toasts.
