Makes great coffee. Love the one I got at an estate sale. Machine is still in production by Krups company. But there are absolutely positively NO replacement carafes to be found anywhere on this planet (or at least the internet). This, folks, is the reason our economy is screwed up--planned obsolescence.Customer Review: Very reliable machine that's consistent

I bought this for my mother 4 years ago. She has brewed 1-3 pots of coffee every day with it and it still works as good as the day she plugged it in. It took her a little while to figure out how to program it, but she's not good with electronics. Customer Review: Great price, makes perfect coffee

I love KRUPS products, I've had this coffee maker for over 6months now, and it makes great coffee in the morning. What I like about this product is the programmable feature, stylish modern look and of course the PRICE. I leave early for work at least before 6am,so I make sure the night before everything is programmed. It's a great product!Customer Review: Poor product

When you get over the superb look of the machine, pray that nothing goes wrong - as it will inevitably. Krups machines are all hand-built in China (!) and there is no justification for such a high ticket price. Not only that, when the machine gives up you'll be lumbered with the expense of sending it back to Krups' appointed agent.
Take my advice - buy something cheaper and don't be fooled by the looks. As my old Grandmother used to say; it's all fur coat and no underwear!

After 4 months it gave an error message showing the there was no water in it when there was. Could not reset. Junk
